ONSEN.
Japan is a country many resting on volcanic slopes. For this there are often earthquakes. Because of these conditions, often there are earthquakes. But there is also a nice feature. The volcanic fumes have many beneficial properties. For this reason, many argue that Japan is the civilization of the spa.
In Japanese, "onsen" means spa. And onsen is an ancient culture, a way of life and wellness. The region where I was born is famous throughout Japan for its thermal baths. I refer to Beppu. And the tourists who come to Beppu from all over the world are many. Even Michael Jackson came in one of our spa facilities, to solve his well-known problems with the skin.
Usually each onsen has an interior hotel, which is called "yado." My wellness line dedicated to the spa and beauty farm: dressing gowns, robes, suits, etc.., in 100% organic cotton, takes its name from the ancient Japanese spa hotels.
Going to the spa in Japan, means to enter in very essential and relaxing. You can't explain in words what it feels like to be in a good level of Japanese onsen, the culture of service that makes your stay pleasant in every detail, is an experience that goes just made.
In every region of Japan waters and vapors have different healing properties. But the Japanese baths are not only used for therapeutic reasons. There is a long tradition of well-being and relaxation. It's lovely to be quiet between the vapors, and then have dinner with fresh raw fish and soy... it,s fantastic!
Each city has its own kitchen and, therefore, every onsen offers specialties of the place. For this reason, the lovers dell'onsen choose a resort spa, for her cuisine and also according to the type of fish (but meat too) that they find.
Once I was in an onsen with my mother. The waiters brought us the fish so fresh that, although it had been cut to pieces, it was still moving. I was surprised, but I guarantee you that the fish, when it is really fresh (and not as in Italy that it's frozen), it's delicious until ecstasy!
After the onsen, while we enjoy dinner, usually we get dressed with the yukata, a summer kimono made of cotton, very simple, fresh and light, which helps a lot relaxation.
My wellness Ya-Do models renew this philosophy. The cottons that I have selected are very soft and lightweight.
